Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk's Commendation for Squadron Boss
On the 6th March 2019 our Commanding Officer Flying Officer Tim Shand was awarded the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk's Commendation for his work with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets and the Norfolk and Suffolk Wing Air Cadets Nijmegen Marches team alongside being our Boss. The Lord Lieutenant is the Queen’s representative within Suffolk, so high praise indeed!
The Nijmegen Marches take place annually in Holland and consist of 166.6km(103.5 miles) road marching over 4 days. Each yeah Norfolk and Suffolk Wing Air Cadets enters a team of cadets and accompanying staff to take part after completing a lengthy program of training marches throughout the year.
